[WIP] Change Skyrm bard instrumentals.

I'm currently working on a mod that will allow you to change the instrumental songs that the bards play. It currently works, but seems to cut off the songs if they're over a few minutes. After I figure out why it's doing that (probably script related), I'll upload the mod for anybody to use it. Note that it seems that the game and CK only accept wav files that use the 352k bit rate. Anything higher will likely crash your game.

Can there also be a way to make them not sing? Some of them make my ears bleed. :oblivongate:

I was thinking of adding a setting where they wouldn't sing unless you asked them to, ST. :shades:

What? No more endless "Erik the Red"? and ST, I agree, particularly that older sounding fellow who's usually in Markarth. I've been tempted to do away with him more than once...

Heh, a bard singing "Highway to Hell" while wandering the roads or "Dirty deeds" in Riften would be amazing... :biggrin:

Thanks guys. So far it's working okay, but the drums seem to be cutting out early for some reason. I think it may be because of the songs I'm using, but I'll have to check it out. Anyway, here's a beta version that works just fine, but you'll need to replace the files with your own songs.

The songs are set to play in stereo and not mono as the original ones were. If you're using Audacity, I found that the 11500 (352k bits/sec I think) setting is the one to use when exporting the files as .wavs. Note that all of the files that are included are just silent wav files; so if you don't replace them, you won't have any music. :mockery: Just export your music into the proper format and replace the file(s). If your game crashes it's because your file is either too big (song is too long, try 5 minutes or under only) or you're using a bit rate that the game can't play.

Cool! I'm currently replaying FONV, but I know I'll be going back to Skyrim before too long... unless I have another look at Oblivion first...

Update: I've figured out how to lengthen the time that songs are played, so I can post a new file if anybody is having songs that are being cutoff. I may set the time for all of the songs to four & a half to five minutes and release it. What's a good average for song length?

Actually, I think most run 3 to 3 1/2 minutes... Of course some run longer, but I doubt you wanna try to get the long version of "Inna Gadda Da Vidda" in there, eh?

So 3:30 would be a good time setting? I'll change it to that and release the mod something by this weekend.
