Well, I think it would be a good length, but that's just me, of course. I think too long would be a pain. Like listening to the same song from the moment you enter an inn, rent your bed, spend 2 hours drinking, picking pockets, or whatever, and 8 hours sleeping, and the same song is still playing as you walk out the door at 8am...

If I increase the length, Neil, you'll just hear silence if your song is shorter, but the bard will still be playing.

that already happens occasionally. No, I understand that, I meant if you wanted to have more than one song played during the course of an evening. of course, if the play time was longer, more songs could be put on it too.

The play time is for each song, Neil, not for a set. For example, if I set drums1 to 5 minutes, then whenever the bard plays drums1, they'll continue the animation for 5 minutes regardless of whether or not a song is actually playing. In contrast, the default drum songs are ~ 30 seconds a piece.

Yeah, but we supply the music, eh? So if you make a 3 minute slot, and I make a recording that has a 1:30 of "Clementine" followed by 1:30 of "Camptown Races" but it's all one recording... I did something like that quite a long time ago with a Morrowind based TC. I had a ballroom where music played on request, and the ballroom dancers changed their style to suit the music... sort of...

I finally got off my lazy duff and released this. I didn't change how the actual songs work because there are already mods that do that and I didn't want any conflicts.
