Of the three games, who was your favorite? Mine was a toss-up between Garrus and Wrex but I went with the former because he was there all three games and I really like the character. He's a smart-ass with a good heart.

Great idea for a topic, Jac - I'm very much interested in the results of this poll.

I think I'll go with Kasumi Goto. She doesn't have much depth as a character (compared to some of the others), can't argue with that. Still, I found her interjections amusing, and her mission was one of my favorites throughout the series.

And although she's not a squad member I really liked Aria in Mass Effect 2. I don't think I'll ever forget that one rule on Omega.

I've only finished the first game, somewhat playing with the second on and off. So I can't really vote. But I did enjoy Garrus in the first game, it's mostly his voice and the way he looks.

Maybe if I get around to finishing ME2 I'll have a new one. Don't think I'll ever make it to ME3.. to busy..

I liked Kasumi, but the problem I had with both her and Zaeed was that outside of their loyalty quests, you had no real interaction with them. They were both done rather well though.

That's quite true Jac, but to be honest I found Zaeed's and Kasumi's "lite" dialog mode refreshing after spending 10-30 minutes just chatting up squad members after each mission. Still, they could have had a bit more interaction.

Played some more Mass Effect 2 today, I love these games, the worlds are so immersive, I think there's so much to do, I could easily play them all over again.
I'm tempted to get the third game, just to be able to interact with all the characters, and meet them basically.
I still can't say who is my favorite, picked up 2 new members today, man their cool! My roaster selection is still half empty I think.

(also I've seen to much Mass Effect porn, now I get these naughty ideas once in a while when I play, that never happened before)

I think if I play again as a different class I might get more out of it, played the 2 first games as a sniper. These Bio Powers might be fun to play with :)
I think I played for about 4 hours straight tonight, I'm so much in the story.

ME3 is also a very good game, Soap, I recommend you play it as well. It does what it set out to do very well... up until the last few minutes, which is unfortunate. But one can still enjoy the first 20 or so hours of it, so the payoff is still very much positive in my opinion.

The extended cut fixed the endings for me. If you get ME 3, Soap, make sure you get that DLC. Also, grab "Citadel" because Wrex comes back as a temporary squadmate.

Just Finished Mass Effect 2, want to leave a few thoughts.

Favorite game between first two.
Mass Effect 1 was great, but somehow I think I enjoyed Mass Effect 2 better, I think the story got me much more into it. I also preferred the ending to the second one, the ending to the first sorta pissed me off, I thought I was going to fight all the reapers at the end of the first game, I might have not been paying attention, but when I played I felt like there were pulling a "SEQUEL" on me at the last minute. Maybe id have to play it again, but it was my impression at the time.

Favorite Character Mass Effect 1
I guess I don't recall much of mass effect one, because I don't recall really enjoying a character that much, I mean I remember them but don't think I got really attached.
When you had to choose between Kaidan Alenko or Ashley Williams I got really pissed, Kaindan was right there, so I said to myself, I'll grab him first, he's right here, then I'll go get Ashley. And Ashley was like, we both know that's not going to happen, I was like what, why not? And then the bad guys show up and keep us busy for to long and she dies... DAM YOU! If you had a copy of the script you should have showed me a copy! How did she know I couldn't make it, only reason I did was because of the surprise attack! ARG! Then in Mass Effect 2 Kaiden is a little to familiar, dude I'm not gay, I didn't save you because I wanted to be with you, I saved you to avoid running all the way back once I saved Ashley... Anyhow.
Wait, I think I enjoyed Garrus, but it's mostly because of his blue skin, slick hair, and raspy voice.

Favorite Character Mass Effect 2
I like them All! lol, but I must say, some I enjoyed more then others, but I can't say I have 1 favorite, honestly my male Shepard is my favorite, with his rough looking face, and his huge battle scar on his face.

Romance
In Mass Effect 1 I didn't do any romance, don't really know why, wasn't interested. In Mass effect 2 the girls caught my attention. I must admit, I think the romance was quite limited, honestly I think curiosity mostly made me persue them, because the dialogue and events where so limited, it felt a little forced. I didn't really feel the character connections. To me the most "realistic" romance was Samara when I said, we can just f*** we don't need a romance, and the hot milf turn me down. To me it felt genuine, more then the others who I got with. I ended up Romancing only Miranda, I must say my intention where not romantic, like I said, ... can't really get into it. The reason I chose her was for her genetically perfect ass, come on lets face it. You're in a sci-fi adventure, a genetically bread woman is on your crew, I'm a male Shepard, you want to have sex with her. I didn't have interest in Jack, because of My Paragon style. Tali was really sweet, but felt more like protecting her like a sister then a love. But if I'd play it again I would go the Samara route, even if I get rejected each time.

Mass Effect 2 Ending Choices
I have no DLC, but I had the full Original game roster (unless there was a hidden character I didn't know about)
These choices where made in "character"
To lead the second team I chose Jacob, it was him or Miranda, but I wanted to Protect Miranda because I cared for her.
I knew the infiltration would be dangerous, and I thought perhaps the character would die, so I sent Thane because I knew he had a terminal illness, as cool as he is, he's not going to live long. And out of the two Thane died, I was sad, but I knew Bioware would probably pull a stunt like that on me. He was also quite qualified for infiltration in my mind.

Then we had to have someone bring back the humans I saved, so I chose Tali, as I explained in the romance, sorta feels like a sister, to me she's to kind, and genuine, I didn't want her to get hurt, so she went back with them.

We needed someone to protect us with a sheild as we walked through a section, I chose Samara because I figured with all that meditating she does she can stay calm under fire and keep it up, I trust the milf with experience. (btw I say Milf, but it's not in a derogative manner, I totally dig her)

For the distraction, what better distraction then a warrior Krogan, so I chose Grunt. Grunt died in battle like any Klingon would want to, I still felt bad, not only because I can't seem to keep my Krogan's alive, but he was pretty cool too. ... I'm also worried I might have doomed his race, I read and mail said they want him back alive :/ sorry ...

finally at the end I decided to Destroy the base, because I saw the Aliens movie to often to know to trust people like the Illusive man, I told myself, the reapers might be hard to kill, but will find a way, better a different way, don't want to become them. And then Shepard said, will find a way. We thought Alike :D

The Mission Continues
Maybe my playing of Mass Effect 2 was just more frequent and more involved, but I enjoyed it so much I'm going to continue to Mass Effect 3. My Only problem is I'm 100% against Origin, because last I heard it's got a rootkit in it, and I don't want EA to have access to my PC. Sooo... will see. There is always the PS3.. but... I've grown attached to my Shepards face, same face and choices for 2 games, I want to stick with him. Even if I didn't mean to kill the Counsil, I'm sorry Aliens, please stop blaming me! I really didn't want to sacrifice them.

Playing both games for the first times, you sometimes regret your choices, sorta like real life, but I stick with them, no cheep Save reload.

EDIT
-------
Oh, oh, Joker. Joker but I like Seth Green, so it's a little bias. His comments are so fun. I think he's probably my favorite.

I seriously doubt EA is doing anything that Steam isn't already doing, Soap. Don't let Origin turn you off. If you do get #3 for the PC, I highly recommend you replay #2 with The Lair of the Shadow Broker, Kasumi: Stolen Memory, and Arrival because all of them are referenced in the third game. There's also Overlord and Zaeed's DLC, but I don't see his. Doing Overlord can net you a new weapon or weapon upgrade while helping Jack in the third game, and will give you some additional dialog later on, but it's not necessary to do it just for the extra content.
